“There’s some real challenges facing our transportation and our infrastructure systems, and this committee is working hard on solutions. Today I had the chance to advocate for the best forms of investment for Minnesotans- to address the rush hour gridlock that hits every day and other obstacles to thriving Minnesotan economy. I’m proud that this committee got to work so quickly in moving on the upgrades we need.”
Background: As President Trump has indicated he is keen to move forward with a major plan to upgrade the United States’ transport and infrastructure systems. Rep. Lewis knows that this can be a major job creator and alleviate commuting burdens for thousands of Minnesotans, while ensuring that our bridges are safe.
