Rep. Lewis receives “Taxpayers’ Friend Award”
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Jason Lewis (MN-02) issued the following statement after receiving the “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” by the National Taxpayers Union (NTU) this morning.
“Thanks to the Republican pro-growth agenda, we’re delivering economic prosperity and tax relief to the majority of Americans. I’m proud to have supported initiatives like the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which through lowered individual rates, a doubled standard deduction, doubling the child tax credit, and more, has given our nation’s citizens more money in their paychecks, trying to reduce our country’s spending and increasing fiscal accountability, as well as other trade and regulatory policy with Minnesota taxpayer benefits in mind. It’s an honor to be one of only 66 House members to receive NTU’s “Taxpayers’ Friend Award,” and I’ll continue to work toward promoting taxpayers’ interests in Washington.”
