WASHINGTON D.C.- Congressman Jason Lewis (MN-02) issued the following statement regarding the joint letter he sent with Education and Workforce Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (NC-05), urging HHS Secretary Azar to address the child care fraud scandals in Minnesota.
“It is imperative that we protect Minnesota families and others alike by ensuring proper oversight is in place on these federally-funding child care programs. The Department of Health and Human Services needs to be ready to address fraud in the program and prosecute any criminal activity to protect the health and safety of children and the families the programs are intended to serve and to ensure that tax payer dollars are not being improperly spent.”
